The Role

As a Junior Analyst in BESS & PPA Markets, you will help build the foundations for greater market transparency by shaping Pexapark’s research agenda and market coverage, with a particular focus on Germany and other Central European markets. You will help strengthen Pexapark as the leading provider of benchmark prices for BESS and PPA transactions and become a driving force behind our publications, market commentary, and industry engagement.

We are looking for someone with around two years of experience monitoring and researching the German renewable energy and BESS markets. This role is for you if you are excited by our mission to bring greater transparency to energy markets and are highly motivated to contribute to the energy transition by enabling renewable energy market participants to make better-informed decisions.

What You Will Do

  • Shape Pexapark’s market research by gathering pricing data and insights from key market participants and supporting outreach to expand our BESS and PPA price benchmarks in Germany and beyond

  • Produce in-depth analysis and commentary on BESS and PPA market prices and trends, providing Pexapark’s clients with context, clarity, and actionable insights while supporting customer engagement

  • Contribute to Pexapark’s Quarterly Market Reports and other flagship publications

  • Build a strong network of price contributors, including key offtakers and asset owners in Germany and other Central European markets

  • Represent Pexapark at regional industry conferences and client events, presenting our market perspective and contributing to thought leadership across the BESS and renewable energy sectors

  • Help ensure the quality, impartiality, and auditability of Pexapark’s benchmark prices

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Energy, Economics, or a related discipline

  • Two years of experience in renewable energy, battery storage, energy market analysis, or a related field

  • Excellent editing and writing skills, with the ability to create accurate, concise, and clear written content, including market commentary, news, model updates, and other materials related to BESS and PPA markets and prices

  • Solid analytical skills and the ability to connect the dots, with experience creating impactful analysis and data visualizations

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver insights to a variety of audiences

  • Excellent written and spoken English and German skills

  • A good sense of humor
