The Role

As an Associate (BESS & PPA Markets), you will be building the foundation for greater transparency across Eastern and Southeastern European markets by shaping Pexapark’s research agenda and market coverage. You will help further strengthen Pexapark as the leading provider of benchmark prices for BESS and PPA transactions and become a driving force behind our publications, market commentary, and industry engagement.

We are looking for someone with some experience in renewable energy or BESS, ideally with exposure to energy market analysis and a flair for connecting the dots in increasingly complex markets. This role is for you if the mission of bringing greater market transparency excites you and if you are highly motivated to contribute to the energy transition by enabling renewable energy market participants to make better decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

Shape Pexapark’s market research efforts by gathering price data and insights from key market players and facilitating market outreach to establish BESS and PPA price benchmarks, with a focus on Eastern and Southeastern European markets (e.g., Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece).
Produce in-depth insights and commentary on BESS and PPA market prices and trends, delivering context, value, and clarity to Pexapark’s clients and driving client engagement.
Contribute to Pexapark’s Quarterly Market Reports.
Build and expand a BESS and PPA market price network by connecting with leading market participants and stakeholders across Eastern and Southeastern European markets.
Represent Pexapark at regional industry conferences and client events, presenting our market view and contributing to thought leadership in the BESS and renewable energy sector.
Contribute to ensuring the quality, impartiality, and auditability of Pexapark benchmark prices through your work.

What You’ll Bring:

Initial experience in renewable energy or BESS, in energy market analysis, or in a related field.
Understanding of renewable energy and battery storage markets, with a focus on offtake activity in Eastern and Southeastern Europe.
Excellent editing and writing skills, with the ability to create clear, concise, and accurate written content, including market commentary, news, model updates, and other materials related to BESS and PPA markets and pricing.
Solid analytical skills and the ability to connect the dots, with experience in creating impactful analysis and data visualizations.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of delivering insights to a range of audiences.
Excellent written and spoken English skills. Additional languages are an advantage.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Energy, Economics, or a related field.
A good sense of humor.
