The Role

As a Renewable Energy Market & Pricing Analyst within our Editorial & Analysis team, you will play a key role in enhancing transparency within the renewable, PPA, and BESS markets in the US. You will directly influence our client’s investment decisions by providing transparent renewable energy reference prices and critical market insights on the Pexapark platform. Your work will contribute significantly to our mission of bringing transparency to the renewable landscape and supporting renewable energy investments.

We're seeking candidates with a deep understanding of US power markets and renewables, ideally with experience in PPA and BESS markets. You should have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to generating insight from the market.

How will you help:

• Leverage your expertise in price reporting or benchmarking to collect and analyze pricing data, ensuring reference prices in the US remain aligned with evolving market trends.
• Transform market data as well as research into actionable insights, delivering clear intelligence on market and pricing trends to Pexapark’s clients.
• Communicate findings effectively through reports and concise market snippets, ensuring senior stakeholders and clients can easily understand and act on the insights you provide.
• Expand and maintain your industry network, building relationships with key stakeholders, PPA and BESS buyers, and sellers in targeted US hubs, while actively participating in major renewable energy events.
• Track PPA, BESS Market, and renewable energy market trends, monitoring developments and providing timely analysis.
  

What you’ll bring:

• Proven experience in renewable or power market analysis, with a focus on US renewable energy markets and direct exposure to PPAs and BESS. Alternatively, several years of experience as a price reporter covering power markets.
• Exceptional analytical abilities, capable of distilling complex market data into clear, actionable insights.
• Excellent writing and editing skills, able to produce clear, accurate, and impactful written insights.
• A well-established professional network in origination, renewable power trading, and previous exposure to PPA buyers, BESS optimisers and investors in renewable assets.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with proactive communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with various stakeholders.
• A good sense of humor
